Super duplex stainless steel gives excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, providing outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and other environments containing chloride. It is a higher strength material than conventional austenitic stainless steels and standard duplex grades. Used in a wide range of applications in industries such as oil, gas, paper, chemical and marine. This is due to the higher additions of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen. This austenitic stainless type grade combines high strength and good ductility with outstanding corrosion resistance qualities. UNS S32760 has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and gives a high resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue.
