Botany: Myricetin is flavonol, found in many grapes, berries, fruits, vegetables, herbs, as well as other plants. Walnuts are a rich dietary source. Kingherbs is used from the Ampelopsis grossedentata, it is called Teng cha in China. Myricetin is consisting of 3-hydroxyflavone backbone and 6 hydroxyl groups. Pure Myricetin mainly occurs in nature in the form of glycosides.

11. Myricetin inhibits ROS production caused by glutamate and reduces glutamate-induced activation of caspase-3. Myricetin restored dopamine level in laboratory animals with induced Parkinsonism. Myricetin may also inhibit beta-amyloid fibril formation in Alzheimer patients.
Active Ingredient: Ampelopsis grossedentata contains rich flavones, amino acids, vitamins; proteins and essential trace element.
The flavones are mainly dihydromyricetin, myricetin, quercetin, quercetin-5-O-ß–D-glucoside, taxifolin, apiin.
