The woven-in edge reinforcement of aramid fibres（Kevlar） reduces wear substantially and ensures a long service life. The loads on the edges of the corrugator belt are extremely high in corrugator systems with high production speeds, flat-surface pressure systems and frequent changes of paper width. Up to 40% higher temperature and increased wear due to the belt running over heating plates and shoes, are not uncommon. In order to cope with this additional wear, a belt surface reinforcement was developed for the AQUA PULL AE consisting of a protective layer of firmly woven-in aramid fibres. The woven-in reinforcement is an integral part of the belt and does not adversely affect either the running characteristics or the moisture regulating properties of the belt.
