Quick Test Professional is owned by Hewlett Packard (HP) since 2006 and was originally developed by the Mercury Interactive. Quick Test Professional is readily used to test software applications in different environment. QTP is implemented by the enterprises for quality assurance. QTP utilizes VBScript scripting language to assess the quality of application. It uses nine standard checkpoints to evaluate the application on different parameters. In case the application fails while performing the test; the QTP can be directed to complete rest of the test in application from that point. QTP can recognize virtual objects. It other features include data-driven testing, extensibility with specified add ins like Web, .NET, Java, and Delphi. Test results of application are determined with XML schema.
