Standard: ASTM A240/A240M--01. 2205 duplex stainless steel alloy is nickel-nitrogen duplex stainless steel composed by 21% chromium, 2.5% and 4.5% molybdenum alloy. High strength, good toughness and good overall and partial resistance to stress corrosion. The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is twice of austenitic stainless steel, this allows designers to reduce weight in designing products. It has high corrosion resistance, lower thermal expansion coefficient and high thermal conductivity, particularly suitable for -50 °F/ +600°F temperature range.
