Plano-concave Lenses have one concave surface. It has negative focal length. It is often used to expand light or to increase focal length in existing systems. Double-convex Lenses are manufactured with an identical convex surface on both sides of the lens. This kind of lenses has positive focal length and form both real and vitrual images.
