Automatic pump control unit takes charge of filling up the overhead tanks automatically. It uses capacitive sensing to monitor water presence/absence and turns the pump ON and switches OFF when filling is over. It switches the pump only when water is available for pumping. The heart of the APC is Microcontroller based, is intelligent, designed to work with random intermittent water supplies and perform for the best result. Simply put, it watches over the water status 24 hours of the day and stores the maximum amount of water possible in the system. Home owners now do not have to wait and monitor water status, especially the elderly who with the APC can stay worry free. APC monitors the level of water in the overhead tank. Pumping of water takes place if the level of water in the overhead tank is low. To protect the pump, Pumping of water is stopped if the level of water in the supply tank goes low APC awaits the arrival of water into the supply tank, and after a delay continues to pump water if required. The delay is decided by the APC depending on the urgency of water required Electronic solid state relays are used to switch on / off the pump instead of electromechanical relays. Electromechanical relays are prone to contact burn out which is nonexistent in SSRs. SSRs have optical isolation between input and output and meet better safety requirements. APC has microcontroller based control and hence flexible in its functions. Superior capacitive water level sensing is used instead of float switches, to avoid frequent maintenance; like stuck float assembly and stuck contacts
