ROC
The Registrar of Companies is appointed by the Union Government of India in respective states/Union Territories according to Sec. 609 of the companies Act, 1956. Their primary role as a liaison officer is to register Companies according to statuary regulations given in the companies act. Company Information

According to Sec 60B of the companies act, a Public Limited Company which wants to issue securities is bound to file a prospectus which contains information about companies past, present and anticipated performance. Minute Book

Sec 193, of the Companies Act, 1956 makes it mandatory for companies to maintain a minute book which contains record of minutes of proceedings of the committee meeting, annual general meeting or extraordinary general meeting. This minute book has to be kept at the registered office of the company and can be compelled for Inspection by the Central Government. Filing of Return

The Sec. 233B of the Companies Act, 1956 states that the annual return should accompany copies of the audited profit and loss account, balance sheet and the auditor's report which makes the job of Auditors very critical and full of accountability at the same time.
