The system consists of mobile base units , complete with shafts & wheels , which run on two or more floor mounted tracks. The movement of storage units on rails is achieved by direct manual effort on a handle, which operates the drive shaft via fully enclosed sprocket & chain assembly. The low gearing of the handle wheel allows virtually effortless movement of even the heaviest base. By assembling bays on moveable bases , it is only necessary to have one aisle in an installation.
