Roving is a form of reinforcement consisting of an untwisted assemblage of strands, where the latter are compact bundles of usually several hundred individual filaments. A number of types, grades and weights per unit length are available and roving can also be supplied in a twisted - or spun - form, or otherwise further processed into a very wide variety of unidirectional and woven fabrics.
