RB unit finger expansion joint with multi-directional displacement capability(RB finger joint) is a patented new generation bridge expansion joint successfully developed by our company. It is based on the extensive research and innovations aimed to overcome the defects related to the modular and finger joint and make it more suitable to accommodate the three dimensional movements and rotations for long-span bridges, such as suspension bridges and cable-stayed bridges. RB finger joint consists of multi-directional displacement hinge, sliding finger plate, fixed finger plate, support bracket, anchorage, and drainage system. Based on the structural configuration, RB finger joint can be classified into straddling type and spanning type. Both types use RB finger joint configuration but offer different geometry best suited to the long term performance and durability of the joint assembly.
