Delta Farms rears rabbits for both for meat and breeding purposes. “We form farm chain under our belt to facilitate easy coordination and easy sharing of business,” avers Mr. M. Sathiyanathan, proprietor. The main facility is located in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu and the breeding centre in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. “We are rearing rabbits at an area of nearly 15000 sq feet,” maintains Mr. Sathiyanathan.
Rabbit farming is an agriculture-related business. We cannot separate farming from agriculture as it is directly proportional to the feed, the improvement of the livelihood, and is related to integrated farming practice.
